Ukraine’s New Mine-Resistant Vehicle Secures State Orders Post Azov Brigade Testing
In a groundbreaking development, Ukraine’s very own Inguar-3 armored vehicle has triumphed in combat testing, leading to the acquisition of its first orders from the state. This remarkable achievement was announced by Artem Yushchuk, the CEO and co-founder of Inguar Defence, as reported by UkrInform.
The Triumph of the Inguar-3
The Inguar-3, a versatile MRAP-class armored vehicle designed to shield its crew from small arms fire, explosives, and mines, underwent rigorous trials in 2024. These tests were conducted by Ukraine’s 12th Azov Special Purpose Brigade in the challenging terrain of the Serebriansky Forest in Luhansk Oblast. Crafted by a group of young engineers who graduated from the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the Inguar-3 emerged victorious, showcasing its resilience and efficacy in combat situations.
The Path to Success
Artem Yushchuk expressed his satisfaction with the testing process, stating, “The 2024 was a year of rigorous testing for our company. We approached this matter with great responsibility, and overall, the vehicle covered about 10,000 km of demanding tests.” The positive feedback from the Azov Brigade’s combat trials paved the way for Inguar Defence to secure its inaugural state contracts, with plans to deploy the vehicles to the front line within six months.
Challenges and Hopes for the Future
Despite this significant milestone, Inguar Defence finds itself in need of additional contracts to fully utilize its production capacity and ensure long-term sustainability. Yushchuk emphasized the importance of securing regular contracts, stating, “We can produce much more. If we don’t secure contracts at least once every two months, we won’t survive as a company.” The company’s commitment to local production and meeting the latest requirements remains unwavering, as they strive to navigate a competitive landscape and secure a stable future.
In a related development, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced the provision of combat drones to Ukraine, further enhancing the country’s defense capabilities in the face of ongoing regional challenges.
As Ukraine forges ahead with advancements in military technology and defense capabilities, the successful testing and acquisition of the Inguar-3 armored vehicle mark a significant milestone in the nation’s journey towards self-reliance and security.
